Band 1 again for Wirral Hospitals' School!

We are extremely proud to have been graded as Band 1 - the highest possible band - from WIrral LA as excellent recognition for the high standard of learning, positive outcomes and life-changing transformations that we provide for all our students.

Schools are banded from 1 -3 according to 8 key performance indicators: Achievement, Behaviour and Safety, Leadership and Management, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Effectiveness of Early Years/Sixth Form, Governance, Progress in Literacy, Pupil Premium outcomes. To be graded as Band 1 the Local Authority feels that a school is acheiving well in all of these areas and does not require anything in the way of targeted support or intervention.

In the letter from the Local Authority explaining the banding decision Mr Kitchin was thanked for the "continued hard work which has resulted in good outcomes for Wirral pupils."

Please see linked document below for a table showing in more detail how schools on the Wirral are banded.
