School Peer Mentors

Wirral Hospitals’ School’s newly appointed Peer Mentors introduced themselves by leading school assemblies this week following a week of Anti-Bullying awareness.

Students have taken part in Peer Mentor Training since June 2015.

The Peer Mentors training has included topics such as communication skills, listening skills, confidentiality, beliefs and values and understanding the responsibilities and boundaries of the Peer Mentor role. They will continue to meet regularly during allocated tutor times to share the work they have been doing, discuss any concerns and develop their skills.

All the Peer Mentors have taken up this opportunity with enthusiasm and a willingness to show that Wirral Hospital Schools’ students want to work together to help and support one another.
