Sports Leaders visit the home of MUFC

Our Year 10 and 11 Sports Leaders group took part in a visit to the home of Manchester United F.C. The students visited the club museum, learning all about the history of the club and the key events that have shaped the team to become the success it is today.

This was followed by an energetic coaching sessions led by a Manchester United coach in the shadow of the stadium. The session included learning key skills such as control, power and accuracy and concluded with a friendly match between the students.

After a quick stop for lunch, students were invited to tour the stadium. The tour included seeing all the well know sites such as the dugout, changing rooms, directors box, media suite and hospitality areas. The tour finished with a visit to the club megastore where students were presented with a certificate.

The students enjoyed the day and will use the experience to help them to complete their Sports Leaders Award.
