Headteacher visit from Kenyan partner school

John Burrows (Co-ordinator of Global Schools Network) and James Orembe, Headteacher of one of our Kenyan partner schools, Maraba Primary, led a whole school assembly.

Students were shown a slideshow of photographs of the Kenyan students and their school environment.  The photographs showed them holding, displaying and reading the projects and letters completed by our students in summer 2015. Pictures also showed Kenyan students presenting the posters and letters they have produced for our students. These will continue to be the focus of some PSHEE and English lessons as we complete our own reciprocal letters and projects which will be sent to Kenya in the coming weeks.

Traditional Kenyan music accompanied the power-point presentation to enhance the learning experience for students and staff alike.

Students and staff were invited to ask John and James a number of questions which enhanced learning about the differences between Kenyan and English school life.

This important and exciting global school partnership continues to grow. Watch this space!
