Unexpected Visitor to School

We recently had an unexpected but very welcome visit to school. Ryan, a student in year 11 explains:

"On the 30th of January we had a stray dog, called Lexie, walk into the building. She was a lovely dog who just walked into the school reception. Staff and students helped to get the dog into the Headteacher's office. We gave her some water and kept her calm. I went with Mr Gordon to the vets to check if she was micro-chipped and we found her name was Lexie and where she lived. The vets then gave us the owner's contact details to get in touch. I walked her round the school site with Mr Gordon. She was very friendly and calm around the students. After an afternoon in school the owner came and picked her up, she was returned to her home for a happy reunion."

Thank you to Ryan and Mr Gordon for looking after Lexie and demonstrating the excellent relationship we have with our local community.
