International Day at JPC : Tuesday 28th March 2017

Students and staff enjoyed a fun-filled series of workshops led by expert staff from Wirral's Minority Ethnic Achievement Service (MEAS).
Students were invited to create Chinese blossom pictures using a range of art materials. They were also given the opportunity to write their names in Chinese.
The Bangladesh workshop taught students about the Bengali language and culture and they enjoyed writing their own names in Bengali.
Cookery was a key skill in the Spanish workshop as students made and then tasted the Spanish delicacy, 'pan con tomate'.
There was a refugee awareness session, raising focus for a fourth workshop in which students watched a short film and undertook activities exploring the plight of refugees.
Yet another highly successful day of international learning for all participating students. Watch this space to see some 'action' photographs of the day's stimulating events!
