Remembrance at JPC

On Monday 10th November we held remembrance assemblies in our year groups. Casualties and those who never returned were remembered from all conflicts since 1914 and the meaning of the poppy was discussed.

On the 11th November at 11am the school fell silent for one minute to join with the country to remember those fallen in conflicts around the world.

On the 12th November students created a very tasty lunch for all to share that was based on a typical WW1 recipe, vegetable stew and apple crumble.

We also have been given 30 sapling trees and poppy seeds to plant in the school grounds. A Remembrance Orchard will be created during the next few days for us all to enjoy.
