Wirral Governors Open Forum

Wirral Hospitals' School was proud to host the Wirral Governors Forum meeting on 20th November 2014. The evening was deemed a great success and was attended by Governors from over 30 schools within the Wirral.

It was a great opportunity for Mr Kitchin (Headteacher) and Mr Longster (Chair of Governors) to present to governors and show case the facilities at Joseph Paxton Campus, giving governors an insight into the committed work done in providing quality, holistic and exciting education for all students and highlighting the importance of the service that is provided resulting in "working together to make things better".

What is the Wirral Governors Forum?

The Wirral Governors' Forum is an Association of Governing Bodies of school within the Wirral Local Authority area and is held 6 times a year.

The aim of the forum is for governors from schools all over the Wirral to come together to:-

  • participate fully in the deliberation of their Governing Bodies
  • be involved more effectively in the life of their schools in the advancement of education across the Borough
  • seek to form partnerships with other groups in education and children's services both locally and nationally
  • establish links between Governing Bodies in order to:-
  1. provide a collective voice
  2. encourage cooperation between schools
  3. share knowledge and experience of good practice
  4. look at methods for addressing matters of common concern.
