Summer 2019 Update: The following guidance has been provided for families who require support over the Summer break:

  • If the family needs help contact 606 2008 IFD where they can talk to a social work call advisor for advice and guidance.
     
  • If the family know what they want and unsure how to find (ie holiday clubs, food banks and summer funded food for children initiatives) they can contact Community Matters Early Help Team 608 6510.
     
  • There is a lot of self help for families children and young people and websites where information and support can be found in the EH service directory  - follow link to the Resources for professionals half way down the page  https://www.wirralsafeguarding.co.uk/professionals/what-is-early-help/

April 2018 Update: The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) has launched an extended out-of-hours advice line for people living in the Cheshire and Wirral area.

The advice line is open to everyone (children, young people, relatives, teachers, other professionals) and allows people to talk to a mental health professional if they are concerned or would like advice about  child or young people’s mental health.

The advice line runs from 9-10pm (mon-fri) and 12 – 8pm (Saturday and Sunday)
