"We Wonder..."

Students combined literacy and science through the “We Wonder” competition run by the National Literacy Trust. With support from Mrs Rimmer, they asked and answered thoughtful questions about the natural world, helping them build curiosity and communication skills at the same time. ✍️🔬

They also looked at the problem of plastic pollution through practical activities. This included a beach clean, where students helped remove litter and reflected on how human behaviour affects the oceans. 🌊♻️

Students then carried out hands-on science investigations into microplastics, exploring where they come from and analysing results. They also modelled how pollution builds up in food chains, helping them understand the impact on wildlife. 🧪🐟
