Students may have a school meal or bring a packed lunch from home. Our school meals are prepared in the school kitchen by our cook, Vicky. They are popular with both students and staff alike.
Vicky runs a “Subway”-type service, making sandwiches and wraps to order. There is a good choice of fillings such as Ham, Cheese and Tuna. Students can also select a range of salad and coleslaw. Baked potatoes can be ordered in advance. For desert, students can choose from a selction of cakes and bisucits as well as yoghurt or fruit. In summer, Vicky even serves ice creams! There is also a choice of drinks including fruit juice, milkshakes and water. The cost of a school meal is £2.30, although items can be purchased individually.
As a health promoting school we ask that parents provide a healthy lunchbox. We ask that lunchboxes contain: a sandwich/wrap/pasta, a piece of fruit, yogurt and a drink - please avoid fizzy drinks, sweets, crisps, nuts and chocolate bars.
