Rachel and Maddie
Two former pupils recently returned to school to catch up with staff and tell us about the exciting things they have up to since leaving. Rachel and Maddie have both moved successfully on to the sixth form college.
Rachel is studying A-levels in Maths, Politics and Media. She has successfully passed her AS Levels (achieving excellent grades of B, C, C) and has already accepted a place at Manchester Metropolitan University in September. Since leaving JPC Rachel has taken an active role in local politics and appeared as a guest on Sky News, representing the views on young people as part of their General Election coverage. Rachel is also working part time in a Garden Centre Café to support herself through college. After completing University Rachel hopes to work in the world of politics.
Maddie is also studying A-Levels in Art, Textiles and Health and Social (achieving outstanding grades of A, B, B in her AS-Levels.) Maddie has gained a placed on an Art Foundation course in September and then plans to go to University and a career in Art Therapy. Since leaving us Maddie had passed her driving test and works part time in a local pub.
Both girls talked about the confidence self-belief they gained in their time at JPC. They said they have only happy memories of our school and wanted to thank every member of staff for the support, care and guidance the school gave them.
It was fantastic for everyone in school to see the students become the confident, independent young adults we always knew they would be. They are an inspiration to both staff and current students at JPC. Rachel and Maddie have already achieved so much since leaving our school. We are confident they will go on to be successful in whatever they do.
Chelsea
Chelsea left us in 2015 and is now studying Level 2 accountancy at Wirral Met. Chelsea is really enjoying student life and is about to move into her own flat. Chelsea had this to say about our school “I loved the school, it helped me to be confident and move on to the next step of my education.”
